Questions people actually ask
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. Your first 7 days are free on either plan. We take your card when you sign up, so your line can go live straight away, and nothing is charged before day 7. Cancel before then and you pay nothing at all. The free week covers 35 minutes on Starter and 140 on Growth.
- What counts as a minute?
- Time the assistant spends on a call, rounded up. A booking call usually runs two to three minutes, so 150 minutes is roughly 50 to 70 calls a month.
- What happens if I go over?
- On a paid plan your line keeps answering. We warn you at 80% and again at 100% so you can decide whether to move up. We don't quietly bill overage, and we never stop picking up. During the free 7 days it works differently: the week is capped at 35 minutes on Starter and 140 on Growth, and the line stops answering once they are used. Starting your plan brings it straight back with a full month.
- Do I have to change my phone number?
- No. Keep the number on your window and your cards, and forward it to Clayta. Your callers dial exactly what they always have.
- What if I don't use Square?
- Connect your Google Calendar instead and bookings land straight in it. Connect nothing and they live in your Clayta dashboard. It's one or the other, never both. Whichever you pick is the book of record.
- How does the guarantee work?
- If it isn't earning its keep within 30 days, email us and we'll refund the month. No forms, no phone call to sit through.
- Can I cancel myself?
- Yes, from your dashboard settings, without contacting anyone. Cancel during your free week and you have not been charged and you will not be, and your number keeps answering until the trial ends. After that, it keeps answering until the end of the period you've paid for.
