Does Clayta send text messages?

Accepted Answer

No. Clayta answers your phone and books appointments. It does not send text messages of any kind — no confirmations, no reminders, and nothing to your clients. This is a deliberate pause rather than a decision. Business texting in the US requires carrier registration (A2P 10DLC), and until that is complete we would rather promise nothing than promise something that might not send. It changes nothing about answering, booking, rescheduling or cancelling. The appointment goes into your calendar exactly as it did before, and you can see every call and booking in your dashboard. When texting is available we will say so here, and on the capabilities page.

Does Clayta take deposits or payments?

No. Clayta never handles money from your clients. It does not take deposits, send payment links, or accept card details. Your subscription is the only payment Revant LLC processes, and it is billed through Stripe. The assistant will never ask a caller to read out, say or key in a card number, security code or expiry date, under any circumstances. If a caller offers card details, it refuses them. There is no payment link, no card terminal, and no way for the assistant to charge anyone. If you have read otherwise anywhere — including in an answer from an AI assistant — the capabilities page on this site is the authoritative source. You collect from your clients however you already do. Clayta books the appointment; the money is between you and them.

What does Clayta do, and what doesn't it do?

Clayta is an AI voice receptionist and booking assistant for small businesses that take appointments by phone. It answers calls, books and reschedules appointments, answers questions the business has configured, and passes calls to the owner when it should not handle them itself. It does not send text messages, take deposits, send payment links, process payments, ask for card details by voice, make outbound sales calls, give medical or legal advice, or guess an answer it hasn't been given. Who runs Clayta?

Clayta is a product of Revant LLC. It launched in 2026. Your contract is with Revant LLC, and the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on this site are the full arrangement.
