It knows what your callers mean

Nobody rings up and asks for the name on your price list. Clayta matches what people actually say to the right service and duration.

The call you can never take

The phone always rings when you're under a sink with the water off. That's the one Clayta is for.

Answers while you work

Books hourly visit, half day, full day and the rest of your list, without you putting anything down.

Answers what you get asked

Prices, hours, how long hourly visit takes — it answers from what you've told it, and takes a message rather than guessing when it hasn't been told.

Answers after you've closed

You're open maybe 50 hours a week. There are 168. A call at nine on a Sunday either becomes a booking or becomes somebody else's.

Questions from handyman businesses

Every job is different. How does it book something it can't size?

By booking your time rather than the task. Most handyman work sells in hourly or half-day blocks, so it books the block and captures what the job actually is. You arrive knowing what you are walking into, and nothing has been promised on your behalf.

Can it tell someone what I charge?

It quotes your rates as you have written them — hourly, minimum callout, whatever you use. If a caller asks what a specific job will cost, it says you will confirm on site rather than inventing a total.

I'm on my own. Won't callers know it isn't me?

It says so at the start of every call: the caller is told they are speaking with an assistant and that the call is recorded. That is fixed, and it is a better first impression than a voicemail that never gets returned.
