What does Clayta say when it answers?

Accepted Answer

Every call opens by telling the caller the call is recorded and that they are speaking with an AI assistant, then it names your business and asks how it can help. That disclosure is applied to every caller, everywhere, and cannot be switched off while recording is on. You can turn recording off entirely, and the notice goes with it. You can change the wording around your business name and the greeting itself. You cannot make it claim to be a person — if a caller asks outright, it answers honestly.

What happens if two people call at once?

Both get answered, at the same time, and neither caller can tell. Clayta holds several conversations simultaneously. This is the part a person at a desk cannot do. One receptionist takes one call, and the second caller hears voicemail — which, on a Saturday morning, is the difference between two bookings and one. It also books against your real availability on each call, so two callers cannot be offered the same slot.

What happens if Clayta doesn't know the answer?

Accepted Answer

It says it doesn't know, takes a message, and notifies you. It does not guess, and it does not invent a price, a policy or an availability. That is a fixed behaviour rather than a setting, because a confident wrong answer about a price is worse for your business than an honest gap. Every question it couldn't answer is collected in your dashboard. That list is the fastest way to improve it — answer the question once in your settings and it never has to take a message about it again.

Can Clayta reschedule and cancel appointments?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A caller can move or cancel an existing appointment on the phone, and your calendar updates accordingly. It recognises a returning caller from their number, so somebody ringing to move their Thursday appointment doesn't have to explain who they are first. Cancellations free the slot immediately, which is what makes the waitlist useful — the time can go to somebody else the same day.

How does Spanish work?

It answers in English and switches to Spanish the moment it hears Spanish. There is no menu, nothing to press, and the caller doesn't have to ask. The whole conversation follows in the same language, including the times and details it reads back to confirm. It switches mid-sentence if a caller starts in one language and moves to the other, which is what actually happens on real calls.

Can I listen to my calls?

Accepted Answer

Every call appears in your dashboard with a recording and a full written transcript, along with what was booked. The transcript is usually faster than the audio. You can read a two-minute call in fifteen seconds and see exactly where something went wrong. You can turn recording off entirely in Settings if you would rather not keep audio. Transcripts and the recorded-call notice go with it.
